The staff was generally quite good.

The front desk was a complete disaster! I couldn't check in on time at 2 pm and then learned my reserved queen room was gone, forcing me into a king, which didn't work due to traveling with a colleague. Even after eventually getting two king rooms, I had to deal with ridiculous billing confusion at checkout that left me frustrated and exasperated with their inefficiency.

It boasts perfect, good location right by Charlottesville as well as the restaurant. Again, it's 1 mile from Virginia Discovery Museum.

Great location just off restaurants, downtown and the Corner area and the center mall in a nice enough area. Reasonably large rooms with good view for hotel guests. The pleasant staff all round.

Consider using the valet service at check-in to streamline your arrival. It can help alleviate parking hassles.

No nonsense, just the truth

Great location within walking distance to downtown and UVA. The restaurant is a gem. We dined there repeatedly. Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Just a few minor issues with parking and breakfast speed, but the highlights outweigh these concerns.

The rooms were beautifully designed, with a unique blend of historical charm and modern comfort. And the location is fantastic, close to the vibrant downtown area and major attractions. Room service was efficient, we enjoyed our stay.

The check-in process could be more organized, as we experienced some delays.

I was smitten by the charm of my king guest room! It was spotlessly clean and exuded a calm atmosphere. Plus, the exquisite southern cuisine served at the on-site restaurant was so good we dined there five times in three days!

mixed feelings about my stay

The location is fantastic, just steps away from downtown attractions. The room size was generous, providing ample space to relax. I appreciated the cleanliness. The city view from my room added an extra layer of charm to the experience.

It was just a fitting option for a brief hiatus in Charlottesville with all in all great value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax after our travels. Plan for some patience at check-in, as it can get a bit busy.

Our stay was fantastic. we loved the amazing Southern cuisine in the hotel restaurant, and the quietness of our room was a huge surprise! The only hiccup was the slow parking service, but we'd absolutely return.

Breakfast hits the spot, but the vibes at El Jaripeo had us feeling like locals munching on the best tacos around. Plus, remember Cynthia from the front desk? She was a gem, helping us check in efficiently while the place buzzed with excitement!

The front desk seemed disorganized, like they were trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. And what's the deal with the restaurant food? Deviled eggs were a saving grace, but the rest was pretty disappointing.

The Draftsman, Autograph Collection features a beautiful decor with Thomas Jefferson era accents. The common areas were both stylish and inviting, including seniors.

Better signage for parking would be appreciated.

Free Wi-Fi was great, and the luggage storage was a handy perk. Check-in was chaotic.

The room was well-maintained and brand-new, offering a good view. the location was great and excellent, just a 10-15 minute walk from a public research university. - Situated in a fairly nice area, right next to the central mall, downtown, the Corner area, and local restaurants.
